ABSTRACT

This article examines occupational stress as a systemic phenomenon shaped by contemporary socioeconomic conditions. The aim of the study is to comprehensively analyze the relationship between the state of the labor market and the level of occupational stress among the economically active population of the Republic of Armenia. The methodological basis consisted of statistical analysis and sociological research using standardized psychodiagnostic methods (PSS-10, LESS II, Yu.V. Shcherbatykh's method, D. Fontana's professional stress scale, and mstress assessment scores). Data processing was carried out using correlation and regression analysis. The study found that occupational stress is systemic and predominantly latent, characterized by moderate severity and even distribution across socio-demographic groups. Key factors determining stress load were identified as employment type, work format, professional affiliation, and organizational environment. It was concluded that occupational stress is a structural element of the modern work environment and requires a systemic approach to its management within both organizational practices and state socio-economic policy.

Keywords:  occupational stress, labor market, employment, human capital, organizational factors.
